Case Study: Ports of Auckland
Ports of Auckland spent more than one NZ$1 million strengthening border security management in response to the need for tighter security. The improvements included Gallagher access systems and new photo ID cards, upgrading to four kilometres of Gallagher perimeter fencing and significantly improving their electronic surveillance systems.
Case Study: Port of Tauranga
The Port of Tauranga on the North Island of New Zealand is the country’s preferred export gateway and fastest-growing port for imports. Using Gallagher’s Challenge functionality, the port has achieved significant cost savings by reducing the number of manned gates while still verifying arrivals and departures, as stipulated by the NZ Maritime Safety Authority.
