Course Summary: Gallagher Access Technician Certification starts with a general overview of the system architecture before focusing on the physical aspects. This includes hardware technical specifications, cabling standards, power requirements and calculations, I/O configurations, fault-finding, also in-field installation expectations and best practice installation principles. The Gallagher Command Centre is installed and all hardware is initialized providing attendees with an appreciation of how the physical environment is transposed to the electronic. The course then introduces the Gallagher Command Centre. The primary in-application focus of training is Access and Alarm management. Other necessary system information including backups and technical utilities are incorporated. It is important to note that attendees who attain Gallagher Access Technician Certification are not advanced or experienced, there skills and confidence will dissipate. Attendees need immediate hands-on (off-site) practice and newly certified Gallagher Access Technicians should be accompanied on-site by an experienced technician initially.
