    2009 - Cardax FT Command Centre Version 6.00 revolutionises access control. Cardax FT Version 6.0 revolutionises access control by allowing the monitoring and enforcement of workforce management policy such as site inductions, qualifications and competencies.

    Multiple server capability is released delivering true global enterprise server architecture and further increasing scale.

  • Perimeter security fence system fully integrated into Gallagher platform Open

    2006 - Cardax FT Version 5.00 launches PowerFence Trophy FT systems. Gallagher revolutionises the system of multiple fence controllers on any one site with the launch of PowerFence Trophy systems.

    The Cardax FT platform is also extended to natively support perimeter fence controllers as core devices, integrating access control, alarm management, perimeter, remote digital imaging, intercom and photo ID badging.

    The launch of the PowerFence Trophy 48 Controller enhances the scope of perimeter solutions by incorporating an advanced enterprise platform with world-class command and control software, while also increasing site capacity.

    By the mid 2000s, the scope for a total business solution is evident and Gallagher’s perimeter security business unit merges with Cardax (International) to form Gallagher Security Management Systems.

It develops a suite of systems that can be fully integrated and securely managed through allocated privileges to authorised users.

    1999 - The purchase of Cardax provides Gallagher with enterprise software platforms, access control and a new customer base to market Gallagher's perimeter fencing products. Bill Gallagher Jnr drives security innovation by connecting Cardax and Gallagher technologies to create new security products.

  • Gallagher Code of Practice for electric security fences is developed Open

    1993 - Gallagher Security extends its global reach. The Gallagher Code of Practice demonstrates commitment to quality and confidence in product design. Introduced into the United Kingdom in 1993, it proves to be a key driver in convincing the Ministry of Defence to successfully test Gallagher’s PowerFence systems.

  • PEC develops Cardax Open

    Mid-1980s – 1989 - PEC develops Cardax. From the mid-1980s, Gallagher technology offers an increasing number of security solutions including the Cardax Command Centre UNIX system released in 1989. The system is one of the world’s first affordable PC-based multi-user and multi-tasking security systems. Soon after, Gallagher designs the first security perimeter system in the world which combines the principles of deterrence and detection and offers independent high-voltage zones.

    1980s - Gallagher’s security division is formed. It delivers the world’s first security electric fence solution and the PowerFence™ brand is born.

  • Access control microprocessor reader is developed Open

    Early 1980s - Around the same time that Gallagher delivers the first electric fence product to monitor perimeter security fences in South Africa, a small company in Marton, New Zealand is designing a microprocessor reader for access control. That company, known as PEC, went on to develop the access control brand Cardax.
